We have designed Acquire to accommodate different software “plug ins” called ACQ’s. These can be used to supplement your created content. Some examples of the new ACQ functionality include the ability to:
• Display media, such as photographs out of feeds, rather than just being limited to bringing in text from feeds
• Display as many feeds as you want on your screen at any time
• Keep track of RSS feeds when you find ones you like, by saving them as your favourites, so it’s easy to re-use them in the future
• Choose to show random feeds. By randomising the information displayed you can prevent your content from becoming boring and repetitive to your users
• Filter feeds by keywords. Use keywords to only display certain content, or alternatively use them to prevent certain content from being displayed. An example of when this might be used would be to prevent negative feeds/stories being displayed in your store
In order to make the new version even more powerful, many of these new ACQ’s have now been bundled into Acquire 3.0.
