FIS™, the world’s largest provider of banking and payments technology, today announced that American Express® chose FIS’ InstantFunds Mobile technology to provide mobile-driven remote check capture for Bluebird accounts.
“Consumers are increasingly mobile and tech-savvy and constantly seek convenience. FIS InstantFunds Mobile enables consumers to use their smartphones to scan a check and add funds into their account, thus limiting fraud by leveraging FIS’ analytics and payment guaranty technologies.

InstantFunds Mobile combines three proven FIS solutions: Mobile Prepaid, FIS Xpress Deposit and Certegy Check Authorization and Warranty into a single solution designed to deliver convenience, speed and fraud protection to consumers who want to fund their prepaid cards. With FIS InstantFunds Mobile at the core of their mobile strategy, payments providers now have a feature within their own mobile app in which they control the cardholder experience from messaging and fee structures to promotions and campaigns. In contrast to other solutions, the FIS offering is integrated and encourages consumer adoption by eliminating the hassle of downloading a second app for adding funds via check to the card. For the cardholder, it makes funds available, offers fraud protection, and supports all check types.
