HYDRATIGHT was one of just a few key suppliers of the global Bechtel Corporation recognised for support during 2011 at a special ceremony in Frederick, Maryland.
Every year Bechtel, one of the biggest engineering, procurement, and construction contractors in the world, makes ‘Key Supplier’ awards to suppliers nominated by its field project managers.
Since Bechtel has annual revenues in excess of $32 billion and works each year with up to 13,000 suppliers and sub-contractors, being chosen for the award is a significant measure of recognition for good service.
Hydratight (hydratight.com) was honoured alongside only 47 other Bechtel vendors – which effectively puts Hydratight in the top one per cent of Bechtel partners over the year.
Businesses are selected on criteria such as safety, project execution, delivering within the project time frame and their ability to adapt to changing circumstances – all measures on which Hydratight scores highly again and again, both for Bechtel and other clients.
Hydratight Americas business leader Steve Earney, who received the handsome trophy from Bechtel Power’s contracts and procurement manager Mark Ziegler and president Alasdair Cathcart, said: “It was an honour to accept the award, which is a reflection of all of our employees’ hard work and safe work in support of Bechtel over the year.
“I did mention at the ceremony that we look forward to being there again for this year…”
