Copenhagen, Denmark, 2012/11/05 - Secunia, the leading provider of IT security solutions that enable businesses and private individuals to manage and control vulnerability threats, announced their partnership with Coretech - Coretech.dk / Secunia.com.
Secunia today announced their partnership with Coretech. Coretech is a leading IT Systems Integrator, Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and member of the Microsoft System Center Alliance, who offer all services within practically the entire Microsoft Systems Center palette, including project management, documentation and training.
The two companies are a natural match: Coretech are experts on SCCM (the System Center 2012 Configuration Manager from Microsoft), and provide implementation and management of SCCM 2012 for their customers, focusing on performance, simplicity and best practice. The Secunia Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) helps System Center Configuration Manager administrators map the entire software inventory and correlate this to second-to-none vulnerability intelligence to improve visibility into the vulnerability management lifecycle.
"We are very happy to be working with Coretech, and believe it benefits both of the companies as well as our customers: Coretech, co-founded by Kent Agerlund who is a very highly respected MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professional), provides consulting services, implementation and training on the SCCM, and Secunia has a technology which is a perfect fit and compliment to their core competencies and the services that they are already providing," said Thomas Zeihlund, CEO at Secunia, about the partnership.
Automated vulnerability intelligence
Secunia is already a member of the Microsoft System Center Alliance, thanks to the Corporate Software Inspector (CSI). The CSI provides highly detailed software inventory which is mapped to program and plug-in vulnerability intelligence, as well as vendor supplied security updates – or ‘patches’. The Secunia CSI automatically repackages these security updates and pushes them to System Center Configuration Manager, allowing users to control, manage, and monitor their update deployment using System Center Configuration Manager. The Secunia CSI inspects desktops and server systems to ensure that all updates are applied correctly and all systems are compliant.
"The partnership with Secunia allows us to strengthen our consultancy offerings as we see an increased demand for intelligent patch management in the enterprise. We believe Secunia’s technology and products are industry leading and we look forward to applying it to our consultancy services" said Kent Agerlund, senior consultant and Configuration Manager MVP at Coretech.
The timing of the partnership is carefully planned as it ties in with Secunia’s launch of the Secunia CSI 6.0 plugin for Microsoft System Center 2012. The new plugin makes the Secunia Package System - including all the preconfigured patches that come with Secunia CSI - available directly in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager so that patching third-party programs is easier than ever before.
