TES-AMM Managing Director Thiru. Ramachandran briefed about the various technologies involved in recycling the e-waste at the factory. Thiru. Arumugam explained how the e-waste is recycled and Precious Metals are recovered from waste electronics equipments through environmentally friendly methodologies.

It was also discussed that even though Tamil Nadu have the higher capabilities to process e-waste, companies like TES-AMM are getting less than 5% of e-waste only for processing. The remaining waste has been collected by the unauthorized people for higher sum and disposed in an irresponsible ways. Lack of capability of many other dismantlers is also a serious issue. These people who disobey the environment laws spoils the land, water and air and preventing the next generation from the right to live healthy life.

Speaking on the occasion Ramachandran, Managing Director, TES-AMM said “In India about 8 lakh tons of waste have been generated in the form of e-waste by IT companies companies using electronic equipments and by households. All these wastes should be recycled properly to safeguard the environment. TES-AMM utilises the latest technologies to ensure Zero Discharge of waste.”

Thiru M. C. Sampath, Minister for Environment has gracefully listened to all the issues and ordered stringent enforce of the law to prevent the e-waste reaching to the unauthorized players. He has also noted the TES-AMM’s interest to work with the government for collecting and recycling e-waste from Local Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporation of the state.
