Drake & Scull International (DSI), a leading mechanical and electrical engineering contracting company in the region, has secured a AED 146.8 million contract to provide complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions for the Infinity Tower project being developed at Dubai Marina. The move comes as the engineering contracting company consolidates its presence in the Middle East real estate markets by signing with several high profile developments.

At 330 metres, the Infinity Tower is the highest twisting tower in the world and spirals 90 degrees to offer unobstructed views of Dubai Marina and the Arabian Gulf, incorporating a high-strength, reinforced concrete column superstructure that rotates with the twisting shape to create a helix. The tower will include a rooftop park, a health spa, a gymnasium, conference rooms, a cigar-room, a fully equipped nursery, an outdoor tennis court and other amenities.
Starting January 2007, DSI will manage the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete MEP works for the Tower. This will include plumbing and drainage, power and lighting, telephone and data, fire alarm systems and air conditioning. DSI will also provide ventilation, a building management system, an automatic fire-fighting system, a video intercom system, central emergency lighting, CCTV and control security systems.
