Aplus.Net has received the “#1 Shared Hosting Web Speed” award for November 2006 from RealMetrics, LLC, a leading Internet performance research firm that provides independent and objective performance metrics for the web hosting industry.
The award distinguishes Aplus.Net as the top web hosting provider in terms of web speed. Aplus.Net also received the RealMetrics award for shared hosting uptime in October 2006, and, as of December 12, was also ranked at first place on the RealMetrics list for both Shared hosting and Dedicated hosting. (Daily rankings fluctuate day-to-day, due to constant measurement).
RealMetrics results are based on actual accounts set up with hosting providers, with web speeds tested every 30 minutes from five different locations across the United States. Uptime is tested by frequent loading of the account’s HTTP address every 30 seconds, as opposed to the more common and less precise method of “pinging.” Support response time is also monitored by submitting a weekly support ticket.
