Tucson Project LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is celebrating its 15th year of providing business process solutions to the government and private sector. The Dallas based firm has nationwide capabilities in providing a broad range of professional support services, including: administrative services, project management, logistics, and IT support.

Established in July 1997, Tucson Project has offices in Dallas, Irving, Fort Worth and Washington D.C. The upwardly mobile company has grown steadily since its inception, and Vice President Veronica Parker credits the acquisition of the FedEx Ground contract as a major milestone in the company’s history and growth. Growing that contract from a single box van in the year 2000 to 10 tractor trailers currently serving the lower 48 states, Tucson Project continues to provided top notch client support to FedEx Ground, as well as, a number of other agencies including: The United States Postal Service, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Veteran Affairs and The State of Texas.

Continually focusing on improving capabilities and client service, Tucson Project applied and was approved to participate in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Mentor-Protégé program in April 2012. The program is designed to motivate and encourage large prime contractors to assist smaller businesses in improving their business development and technical skills, leading to an increase in prime and subcontracting opportunities. Under the agreement, Akima Intra-Data, the mentor firm, will guide Tucson Project in learning processes and procedures for improving its federal contract win rate and enhancing its service offerings.

Along with its sustained growth, Tucson Project (tucsonproject.com) is committed to giving back and making a positive impact in the communities in which it operates. Through financial contributions and the volunteer efforts of its employees, Tucson Project supports programs and organizations that address social progress, economic success and educational excellence. The 2012/2013 school year will be the company's seventh year providing book bags and school supplies to kids in the Greater Cleveland area and providing grant writing support to help community organizations acquire funding for after-school programs. The company also manages an externship program, which for the last four years has allowed college students to shadow company employees as preparation to enter the workforce.

“We are extremely excited about our continued penetration into various government markets, and the opportunity to continue serving this great nation as a premier contractor,” says Tucson President / CEO Derick Jordan. “We are looking forward to new opportunities, partnerships and community outreach endeavors to take us into the future, for the next 15 years and more.”
