The award is a five-year IT Forward Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) as part of the Morgan Borszcz Consulting (MBC) team. The BPA provides a vehicle for worldwide IT Solutions, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), and Design, Modernization, and Enhancement (DME) of IT Systems and Infrastructure. The MBC Team has comprehensive worldwide IT systems, infrastructure, design and innovation, O&M capability to fully address the unique requirements of the USAID OCIO and its Missions. Understanding that USAID has a unique international footprint, unmatched by any other U.S. government agency, the MBC Team’s capabilities are designed to meet that need in support of the USAID IT Forward agenda. Through the launch of its ambitious USAID Forward reform effort, USAID has set off on a significant and comprehensive mission to change the way it does business. As the technology-centric portion of this reform effort, IT Forward involves the pursuit of technologies that will bring new levels of capability and system accessibility to empower USAID staff. These exciting changes will help propel USAID to the fore of government innovation with the incorporation of mobile, cloud, virtualization, wireless, and other technologies into its operations. In developing these new IT capabilities, USAID’s strategic shift will center first and foremost on executing its Mission with maximum efficiency and impact. In order to fulfill its Mission needs for IT Forward, USAID is set to build its capabilities as outlined by the CIO in the USAID IT Strategic Plan for 2011-2015.
