Korenix extends its series of ruggedized 802.3at PoE+ switches by releasing the new JetNet 6710G-M12 HVDC model, which supports a DC 110V high voltage power input and M12 ruggedized vibration resistant power connectors, specifically targeting on-board transit surveillance applications.
To fit in railway applications which require wider power input range, the new PoE model is designed with built-in isolated DC 110V (DC 77V~137V) to 48VDC power module for passenger safety. In addition to the isolation, the new switch’s power connector is M12 type designed to efficiently power PD equipment, such as IP cameras and Wimax Systems under vibrating environments of on-board railways.
Other than the power supply, the JetNet 6710G-M12 HVDC shares the same hardware design and software features as all other JetNet 6710G models. The ruggedized parameters of the switch that comply with EN 50121-4 railway EMC and IEC 61373 railway vibration and shock requirements as well as the -40~60oC operating temperature, make the switches perfect solutions for on-board railway surveillance purposes. The switch provides 8 PoE ports that can deliver up to 15.4W and 30W power per port, and reaching 120W per unit to drive the 802.11 wireless APs, WiMax systems, PTZ cameras, network dome cameras…., as well as 2 uplink Gigabit ports for megapixel video image transfer.
By combining the MSR & MSTP network redundancy, LLDP and JetView Pro intelligent network management system and advanced management, control & security protocols, such as QoS, IGMP snooping, VLAN, DHCP option 82 etc. the switches enable users to easily and efficiently maintain networks, while guaranteeing the reliability, high quality and security of the transmitted video inside railcars.
