“We’re overjoyed to have been recognised as one of the top job-creating companies in Europe”, says Tony Bray, Director of Version One. “Our dramatic year-on-year growth can be attributed to the sustained demand for our paperless office software and the continued hard work of our staff and partners. We are also committed to an organic growth strategy which ensures profits are reinvested into hiring new staff and creating a solid infrastructure for the future.”
Launched under the patronage of the European Commission, Europe's 500 is the only independent, pan-European listing of high growth, job-creating companies. Covering organisations from 25 EU member states plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland, the 2006 listing is the most comprehensive yet.
Bray adds, “With an increasing number of businesses recognising the benefits of using paperless office technologies for the electronic storage and handling of business documents, we forecast a continued, worldwide demand for our systems. To meet this demand, we’ll need to recruit additional staff and reseller partners over the course of 2007.”

About Europe’s 500
Launched in 1996, Europe’s 500 (europes500.com) is Europe’s only independent, pan-European Listing of high growth, job-creating companies.
In order to qualify for the 2006 Europe's 500 Listing, companies had to show growth in employment and turnover during the three-year reference period (from 31 December 2002 to 31 December 2005).
To compile the list, Europe’s 500 researches companies across all 28 countries. All data is analysed and then qualifying companies are ranked according to their Birch Index Employee Growth Index. This index focuses on employment creation combining both relative and absolute growth and is used to rank and quantify the companies' performance.
