Cairns, Queensland, Australia, 2006/12/08 - London, Paris, Amsterdam and Geneva were this year's locations for the third annual 'All Corners of the World' European Roadshow.
The luncheon presentations were attended by 80 key decision makers from 65 international associations and organisations who regularly plan or organise international conventions attended the informal lunches.
Presentations were given by all six members of the ‘All Corners of the World’ Convention Centre alliance, each member representing a unique destination with a world class convention venue.
Ms Susan Orsoni, Executive Secretary of the International Union of Physiological Sciences attended the Paris lunch and thought it was ‘an excellent marketing initiative’.
“It’s just great to have the opportunity to be so well briefed on a variety of venues at one time, with the added bonus of being able to share ideas and discuss relevant issues with other industry professionals and peers,” Ms Orsoni said.
Joel Diaz, Event Manager, International Seed Federation attended the Roadshow for the first time and thanked organisers for the refreshing lunch and discussion.
“The meeting was great, congratulations on the idea and thanks for the dynamism,” Mr Diaz said.
The All Corners alliance was formed in 2004 by award winning convention centres in Cairns, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Vancouver, with Glasgow and Cape Town joining the group last year. All six members offer world class convention facilities and pride themselves on service excellence and quality standards.
‘All Corners of the World’ project coordinator, Rochelle Uechtritz from the Cairns Convention Centre says that venues working together have achieved greater results.
“Our clients just love the format of the lunches, and that is important to us,” Ms Uechtritz said. “But at the same time each of the six ‘All Corners’ members has already produced results from this initiative, results that we would not have achieved working alone.”
