InverCloud®, a leading provider of cloud computing software today announced the commercial release of its .NET Multi-tenancy Stack at the Microsoft Tech-Ed Europe 2012 Event. InverCloud is offering a solution that allows software development companies to create multi-tenant products ready for deployment in the Cloud. This means that companies who want to move to the SaaS (Software as a Service) model to sell their applications can now get to that point in days rather than months, and retain complete control over where they choose to host the product.
Customers using InverCloud to build new products can take advantage of built-in SaaS-enabling features such as dynamic scaling, multi-user and multi-tenant management, feature metering and federated authentication. InverCloud’s breakthrough technology enables multiple tenants to be managed via a single instance of the system software and within a single database. This dramatically cuts down software licensing costs, maintenance costs and maximises the efficiency of the system.
“Customer interest has been very strong”, says Jamie Morrissey, InverCloud Product Technical Lead,“we’ve had a huge level of interest in the product, and many customers signing up to trial the system. The common thread has been that companies want to offer a SaaS solution but don’t have the time to spend learning about SaaS infrastructure or designing a Cloud-based architecture. They have been delighted to see that using InverCloud eliminates all that effort and time, meaning they can ‘stick to the knitting’ – stay focussed on their core products, and let InverCloud look after the rest.”
As SaaS applications have passed the tipping point of commercial acceptance, the next 12 months will see a big increase in the number of vendors offering their solutions via SaaS to Business Customers. SaaS development platforms such as InverCloud provide a critical piece of the jigsaw that will accelerate that move.
"As businesses look at the options available to them, a key factor is retaining control – can they host their SaaS offering anywhere they like, or are they tied to a specific vendor?” says Colum Horgan, CTO of InverCloud,"It was clear from day one that the best option is to allow customers to have freedom to use whatever hosting provider they want and in whatever configuration they want, which is exactly what InverCloud allows you to do. We’re pleased to announce the release of the InverCloud Multi-tenancy Stack for .NET applications, which represents a significant milestone for the product and which we are confident will build on the momentum already in place."
InverCloud® (invercloud.com), enables organizations to easily create and deploy software applications in the Cloud, facilitating a SaaS delivery model.
