Moxa, a leading global provider of industrial networking solutions, is pleased to release two additional products for the MiiNePort embedded device server family. One new release is the MiiNePort W1, a serial to IEEE 802.11 b/g embedded wireless module. Another addition is the MiiNePort SDK, a software development kit to help engineers fulfill programming requirements for proprietary customization of complex applications. These new products are part of the MiiNePort family of versatile solutions for many industrial applications, such as LED display, security/access control, RFID, and green energy/power monitoring.
“For more than 20 years, Moxa has provided industry-leading serial connectivity with products such as the NPort device servers for countless industrial applications. The MiiNePort products are designed with two decades of extended networking experience and engineering expertise. We intend to provide a complete and simplified solution to integrate embedded serial-to-Ethernet connectivity with extended product support and availability to achieve minimized time-to-market,” said Terence Wu, product manager of MiiNePort serial device servers.
From development to application deployment, the NetEZ suite offers tools to make the job easier. For power requirements, EZPower allows the MiiNePort to accept system power inputs of 3.5 to 5 VDC with low power consumption. And for remote configuration while promoting brand recognition, the EZPage feature provides a Java applet to allow manufacturers to provide their customers a personalized and customizable web-based device configuration page via Ethernet. Also, production time can be drastically reduced through simultaneous multiple-unit configurations directly on the production line through AutoCFG. For enhanced product value, NetEZ allows end-users the ability to interface with the device through SCM (serial command mode) for configuration.
“We always look for ways to make life easier for our customers. We offer assistance for every process of deployment. From R&D to production, we are here to guide our customers through it. The MiiNePort has a suite of tools to easily bring networking to your device,” says Casper Yang, Senior Manager at Moxa Connectivity. Serial to Ethernet migration of the device interface, wired or wireless, doesn’t have to be a monumental project, manufacturers can integrate embedded solutions with confidence and rely on Moxa support at each and every step.
Moxa is currently offering a 50% discount on MiiNePort W1 starter kit for preliminary evaluation.
