Louisville, KY, United States, 2012/06/28 - DBS>Interactive, a leading interactive agency in Louisville, Kentucky announces the launch of the new Team Bad Company website.
eam Bad Company consists of Oksana Masters and Rob Jones, both adaptive trunk and arm rowers and bilateral above knee amputees, who are pursuing a dream to represent the United States in the Paralympics in London 2012. Team Bad Company is training full time to make the US team and qualify the US for the Paralympics.
Adopted from the Ukraine at the age of 7, Oksana Masters is a bilateral above the knee amputee as a result of birth deformities. Her mother was pregnant at the time of the Cherynobel disaster and Oksana suffered from radiation poisoning inuterio. Still adjusting to life in the US, she began rowing at the age 13 and now holds many first place medals, including a 2009 world record with an impressive time of 4:27. Teammate Rob Jones did not let his own amputations derail his personal athletic drive. As a US Marine serving in Afghanistan, he was confronted with an IED attack, which took his legs. Becoming a bilateral amputee in 2010, Jones has already placed in several competitions, including 1st Male in both the Stonewall Regatta and the Capital Sprints.
In order to achieve their goal, they need to raise $50,000 in corporate or community sponsorships and personal donations. This amount will help cover expenses for equipment, coaching, training, travel, entry fees and the many other costs of sending these brave competitors to represent the United States at this year’s Paralympic Games to be held in London.
With the help of friends, family, and supporters across the online community, Oksana and Rob can fulfill their dreams of representing the accomplishments of all amputees, the unsung heroes, and those who live life in the face of adversity with no regrets. The DBS>Interactive designed website allows fans to learn about this unique team, encouraging their dreams through pledges of support and donations.
In order to support Team Bad Company’s mission, this website makes it easy to learn about the different sponsorship tiers and how the community can become actively involved in their courageous march to the gold. This site features quick links to social media pages and an ongoing blog, which allows fans to stay updated on Team Bad Company’s quest to qualify for the 2012 Paralympics.
