The filter OD 1.0 points are 220 and 320 nm, with attenuation reaching OD 4.0 by 450 nm.

The XUVGFF helps to resolve common issues with excessive system sensitivity in the red region (600 – 1000 nm) for silicon based detectors. The extreme red sensitivity of silicon detectors limits the dynamic range in the deep UV region. Omega Optical developed this unique gain flattening filter for many applications that seek to achieve a broad spectral region of near uniform response extending from the visible into the UV A, B, and C regions.

Omega Optical offers the XUVGFF in two standard sizes of 12.5 and 25 mm diameter. Custom sizes are available and high volume pricing is negotiable.

Since 1968 we have provided solutions for your optical filter needs. We pride ourselves in quick turnaround from your concept to finished parts. We employ a combination of small machines for prototyping and special custom requests, and larger coating systems designed for higher volume production. Our team of engineers has 230 years of combined experience in thin-film optical coating technology. The team offers innovative filter designs that fit within our broad capilities.

We utilize a variety of physical vapor deposition coating methods, including dual magnetron reactive sputtering, e-beam, thermal evaporation, and ion assist. Our list of materials expertise is broad and includes metals (Ag, Al, Au, Ge, etc.), hard oxides (of Al, Si, Ta, Hf, Zr, Nb, Sn, In, Sc, La, etc.), fluorides (of Y, Pb, Yb, Mg, etc.), zinc sulfide (ZnS), cryolite (Na3AlF6), chiolilte and even some organic semiconductors.
