Meliá Salinas, the iconic luxury resort in Lanzarote, presents its renewed image following the implementation of an intense renovation plan to meet the highest standards of quality associated with Meliá Hotels & Resorts. As of this month, Meliá Salinas will become one of the five-star hotels under the Meliá brand, offering guests an ideal option, whatever kind of holiday they are seeking: as a family, a couple, with cultural or gastronomic highlights.
The Meliá Salinas renovation process began with the rooms, the tiered layout of which provides each space with warm and natural lighting. The rooms have been designed in shades of white, beige and terracotta, to enhance the guests’ feelings of relaxation and wellbeing.
In addition, The Level, the brand’s most exclusive facility, has been renovated, with exclusive access areas and personalized services, including check-in, check-out, restaurant and excursion bookings, as well as access to all facilities: private pool (adults only), Balinese beds, etc.
Gastronomy continues to be one of the strong points. Meliá Salinas has several restaurants, each with their own particular character, where guests can enjoy fine dishes of traditional Canary Island cuisine (Esencia Canaria Restaurant), international food (Spices Show-Cooking Restaurant) and signature dishes (Marea Restaurant). The range is completed with the opening of the Onix Lounge, a new meeting place for guests with a comprehensive cocktail menu.
The beaches of “Las Cucharas” and “Los Charcos” can be accessed directly from the resort. Days on the beach can be rounded off with a relaxing dip in the turquoise waters of the lagoon pool or a revitalising massage in the hotel’s beauty centre.
Another highlight is the Water Sports Centre Lanzarote, a modern learning and training centre for aquatic sports, situated on the beach of Las Cucharas, where guests can enjoy stand up paddleboarding (SUP), windsurfing, surfing, kite-surfing, diving, kayaking and other sporting activities, with highly qualified instructors and state-of-the-art equipment.
This refurbishment work has also extended to its Conference Centre, which has been redecorated. A venue with 25 years of experience in over 1,000 events. It has 2,200m2 of facilities, distributed over five functions rooms with natural light, terraces and private gardens. Included in the Power Meetings by Meliá programme, this centre can accommodate up to 990 people.
Meliá Salinas will be implementing the Life Management by Meliá philosophy, developed by the brand with the participation of the “positive psychology” guru, Mario Alonso Puig. The hotel will be applying his famous Time Management techniques for increasing working efficiency to life in the resort. Inspired by happiness, the hotel will be inviting all of its guests to enjoy the experience. This is why it has turned his advice into activities and workshops, in order to help guests to make the most of their stay and the facilities. Children’s activities, Pilates, yoga, jewellery and cocktail-making workshops, bike rides; these are just a few examples of this summer’s programme.
