“David brings an extraordinary capacity to understand the developing industry of Telemedicine from both a medical and business perspective.” said Jacques von Speyer, Chairman of US Tele-Medicine, David Katz, MD, was nominated by US Tele-Medicine of Palm Desert, CA, as the Global Practice Leader for its telemedicine initiatives in the USA, Europe and Africa.

Dr. Katz began his academic career at The American University in Washington, DC, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). This was the bedrock behind a marketing career that spanned ten years.

As Marketing Director of Micro-Video Learning Systems of New York City he spearheaded implementation of computer-based software training to US government and military agencies including the US Air Force, US Army Corps of Engineers and the US Senate. His capstone achievement was in launching Microsoft Office training to the US Agency for International Development via US embassies world-wide.

He then turned his sights south, to Washington, DC, where he took over as Marketing Director for Best Practices in Corporate Communications. BPCC, a think tank, brings together C-level experts in a cooperative forum to implement benchmarking research, perform executive skills training and provide decision-support data in subjects such as Corporate Branding and

Community Relations. His clients at firms such as Goldman Sachs, Proctor & Gamble, Textron, Weyerhauser and Halliburton later wished him well when he decided to make a profound change: Michael was going to medical school.

Dr. Katz holds his MD and MS in Biomedical Sciences from The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, St. Martin, N.A.

Dr. Katz completed his Post Doctoral Year in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas at Houston Health Sciences Center, which included clinical training at University of Texas at Houston – School of Medicine, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Lyndon Baines Johnson General Hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital and St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital.

Since 2008 he has functioned as both a medical and marketing consultant for clinical laboratories and healthcare finance companies. He is the owner/author of LongTermCareRisk.com and EatingKids.com - a website dedicated to fighting Childhood Obesity & Eating Disorders. Most recently he served as Medical Director/Consultant for the launch of a new clinic of a private client.

Dr. Katz believes his life-long engagement at the crossroads of medicine and marketing makes a career at US Tele-Medicine.
