Comarch, a global provider of end-to-end IT solutions for telecommunications, announced today that its Field Service Management (FSM) system has been deployed at IET GmbH, a German full service partner for high-level installation and operation of coax-, fiber optics-, and other broadband networks.
Within the project Comarch has performed a detailed business analysis of current processes at IET and adjusted its Field Service Management solution to their unique character.
The comprehensive solution enables IET to improve field service processes thanks to full automation of scheduling and dispatching processes and complete support for technicians in the field (including mobile access to the system). The solution also contains a module supporting Spare Parts Management processes and GPS-based real-time technicians monitoring and locating work orders. Comarch FSM ensures flexibility in managing changes in techs’ daily schedules. The execution of field work orders is supported by their automated assignment that considers the techs’ availability, skills, individual warehouse stock and current location.
