Just a year after opening its doors, Underdog Partners, LLC is the winner of four 2006 MarCom Creative Awards, including two platinum awards.
The agency received platinum awards for its creative work on a Punch Cigar factory tour brochure, as well as an invitation conceived for the launch of the new Partagas 160 cigar. In addition, Underdog received a gold award for materials supporting the Punch Gusto cigar program, and an honorable mention for its own 2005 holiday greeting card.
The MarCom Creative Awards exists to honor excellence and recognize the creativity and hard work of marketing and communication professionals. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an international organization consisting of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals, the competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world.
Underdog’s work was judged against over 5,000 entries from the United States and several foreign countries. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies. Winners were selected from over 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts: marketing, publications, marketing/promotion, public service/pro bono, creativity and electronic/interactive. About 15% of the entries won the Platinum Award, the organization’s top honor.
