Accell, a provider of premium audio/video, computer and mobile device accessories, today announced the release of the company’s newest addition to its extensive product line, the UltraAV DisplayPort to DVI-D Dual-Link Active Adapter featuring support for 3D displays. With an MSRP of $109.99, Accell’s DisplayPort to DVI Adapter is available now.

The UltraAV DisplayPort to DVI-D Dual-Link active adapter provides the connection from a DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort enabled computer to a DVI Dual-Link supported digital display. For video cards featuring a Mini DisplayPort video output, users can easily convert the adapter to a Mini DisplayPort connection using the included DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort adapter.

“Accell’s latest DisplayPort to DVI adapter supports monitor refresh rates up to 120Hz, ideal for use with 3D DVI monitors,” stated Michael Weizer, director of marketing, Accell. “Those that embrace 3D technology, such as gamers and designers, will gravitate towards this product.”

Accell’s UltraAV DisplayPort to DVI-D Dual-Link Active Adapter supports both Single-Link or Dual-Link DVI and features the following:

• Supports resolutions to 2560x1600[.]60Hz or 1920x1080[.]120Hz for 3D displays;
• Up to 10.8Gbps throughput over four lanes at a 330MHz total pixel clock rate;
• Converts to a Mini DisplayPort connector using the included adapter.

The UltraAV adapter features a built-in active protocol converter delivering up to 10.8Gbps throughput, a 330MHz maximum pixel clock rate and support of 120Hz 3D displays. In addition, Accell’s adapter connects to a USB port for power, eliminating the use of a bulky power adapter.
