Invenergy Wind, LLC (“Invenergy”) and Polish renewable energy developer Enerco Sp. z o.o. (“Enerco”) announced today the commencement of commercial operations in northwest Poland of three wind energy generation facilities, and the completion of project financing for four other nearby wind energy generation facilities that currently are in construction. All of the projects are owned by affiliates of the two companies.
• Construction has been completed and commercial operations have commenced, at the Darlowo Wind Energy Center-Phase One projects, comprised of the Wiekowice, Jezyce, and Dobiesław wind facilities. In aggregate, the three wind farms will feature 32 GE 2.5XL wind turbine generators for a combined capacity of 80 MW. The projects, located approximately 300 miles northwest of Warsaw, were developed jointly through the partnership of Invenergy and Enerco. Power produced by the wind farms is sold under long-term power purchase agreements.
The wind generation facilities contribute to the area’s economy by providing jobs and tax revenue to local governments. In addition, the clean, renewable energy produced by the farms will significantly help Poland in reaching its 15% binding renewable target for 2020, as set forth in the 2009 European Union climate and energy package.
• Invenergy and Enerco have completed project financing for their Darlowo Wind Energy Center-Phase Two projects, comprised of the Boryszewo, Krupy, Nowy Jarosław, and Stary Jarosław wind energy projects, which also are located in northwest Poland.
The four wind facilities currently are in construction, and in aggregate will feature 38 GE 2.5 XL turbines for a combined capacity of 95 MW. Operations are scheduled to commence in 2013.
“We are pleased to have achieved these important milestones with our renewable energy portfolio in Poland,” said Michael Polsky, Invenergy’s President and Chief Executive Officer.”
Invenergy also is delighted to be working in partnership with Enerco. We’re proud to provide a new source of jobs and tax revenue to the Darłowo area, and look forward to a long, successful relationship with our host community.”
Invenergy and Enerco also are co-owners of the 50 MW Tymien wind farm in northern Poland, which has been operating since 2006. The companies are working together on the development of several additional wind farms in Poland.
Invenergy (invenergyllc.com) and its affiliated companies develop, own and operate large-scale renewable and other clean energy generation facilities in North America and Europe. Invenergy is committed to clean power alternatives and continued innovation in electricity generation.

As the nation's largest independent wind power generation company, Invenergy and its affiliated companies currently have over 6,600 MW of wind, solar and thermal projects under contract, in construction or in operation.
Enerco (enerco.pl) has been developing renewable energy projects in Poland since 2000 with its first project, the 20 MW Cisowo wind farm. Its management team is recognized as one of the top entrepreneurial teams in the country, with demonstrated and proven experience in critical areas of development, financing, construction, and operation of such projects.
