Jotun Paints, one of the world’s leading producers and distributors of paints and powder coatings, is showcasing its unique range of exterior and interior paints at ‘gulfINTERIORS 2012,’ the region’s only dedicated and highly successful exhibition for interiors, design and furniture, which opened today (April 24, 2012) and will run until April 26, 2012 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC). The company’s participation is part of its continuing efforts to expand its customer base while at the same time increase more brand awareness across key target segments in Bahrain and the Gulf region. During the event, Jotun is throwing the spotlight on the strategic advantages to be gained from using its dynamic line of interior and exterior paints, along with presentations discussing painting techniques and the technology utilized to come up with eco-friendly paints that help reduce wastage and protect the environment. The company stand is located at 2A11 inside the BIECC.
The Bahrain paint market’s vibrancy is widely attributed to the equally growing number of construction projects in the country. In line with this, Jotun is confident to achieve a 20 per cent growth in 2012. At the exciting three day event, Jotun will feature ‘Jotashield Extreme, ’ Jotun's superior range of exterior paints that provides thermal indoor comfort and a longer-lasting finish with superior exterior protection at a competitive price and ‘Fenomastic, ’ the first enamel paint in the region.
“We are proud to be part of the second edition of ‘gulfINTERIORS 2012, ’ which has become a strategic platform to showcase the latest trends in interior design and discuss the key issues and challenges of the segment,” said Ashish Vasudev, Marketing & Retail Manager, Jotun Paints. “Our presence this year will help us in the efforts of increasing our customer base and position ourselves as a preferred brand known for its high quality and wide range of colors. We are very upbeat towards Bahrain’s paint segment and see a lot of investment potential in the next few years. In fact, the vibrancy of the country’s construction segment has marked a strong demand for eco-friendly materials and we aim to meet the requirements for ‘green’ paint products to be used across the many projects present.”
‘Jotashield Extreme’ is a result of Jotun’s extensive efforts to develop an exterior paint product that can not only reflect heat but also promote a reduction in energy. The paint line makes use of revolutionary pigment technology that allows surfaces to enjoy a darker shade of color but with a thermal indoor comfort and longer lasting protection. To date, ‘Jotashield Extreme’ is the only product in the region that provides significant temperature reductions upon application. Meanwhile, the 'Jotun Fenomastic' range is offered in three gloss levels (Gloss, Semi-Gloss and Matt). The original range's offers two emulsion paint options--Fenomastic, which comes in four gloss levels (Gloss, Semi-Gloss, Silk and Matt) and Fenomastic Gold, which is a pure acrylic paint that has anti-fungus properties, anti flames spread certification and crack tolerance of up to one millimetre. Fenomastic Enamel is the first enamel paint in the region that is also lead-free and non-yellowing.
“During the event, our stand is hosting live demos of new painting techniques and the technology involved in the development of these unique paint lines. These presentations complement our belief that the use of specialized techniques and new painting tools, particularly across the many structures being built in Bahrain and the rest of the region, are a vital aspect towards ensuring the longevity of the building, especially in the warm climate of the region,” concluded Shafique Siddiqui, Country Manager, Jotun Paints Bahrain & Kuwait.
Jotun’s major clients in the country today come from the real estate sector, housing ministries and the oil & gas segment. The company has also completed key projects like the Riffa Views Villas, the Ministry of Works and Housing project in Isa Town, Sanabis, Sulb steel, the Schlumberger Bahrain Oilfield Services Base, Holiday Inn Express, Hamala Villas and the Bahrain National Theater.
