Cirque Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alps Electric Co., Ltd. and a leader in the capacitance touch technology industry, today announced it has hired Nate Coy as sales manager, OEM products.
Coy will oversee worldwide sales of Cirque's OEM touchpads and will have responsibility for maintaining relationships with existing customers, expanding sales to new customers, working with sales agents and expanding Cirque's sales agent network. In addition, he will manage the launch of new OEM products.
"Cirque is making some aggressive moves to increase sales and ensure its OEM products have greater reach and market penetration than ever, and it's an exciting time to be with the company" Coy said. "Cirque is the original developer of capacitance touch technology, and its legacy, depth of expertise and commitment to excellence, combined with solid backing from Alps Electric, let you really feel a part of something special."
Prior to joining Cirque, Coy worked for a large microprocessor company as sales manager for its North American reseller channel, where he oversaw sales of networking, server and converged communications products. He also has experience working in the computer peripheral product industry and contributed to the development of new products that gained large-scale market adoption. He holds a bachelor's degree in technical sales from Weber State University, where he also minored in electronic engineering.
"Nate brings an impressive record of sales success to Cirque and has already been a major contributor to our company," said Doug Moore, vice president of Cirque. "His background and qualifications are tailor-fitted to our needs, and we look forward to what we'll be able to accomplish with him on board."
Founded in 1991, Cirque is the original developer of capacitive touchpad technology. From the beginning, its original GlidePoint technology has provided the core of each new development of its touch-input solutions. In early 2003, Cirque was acquired by Alps Electric Co., Ltd., a $5.9 billion world leader in manufacturing electronics. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Alps, Cirque is considered the center of technology development for capacitive touch solutions. Cirque maintains independent development, production, sales and distribution facilities in Salt Lake City.
