DocuSign®, the global standard for electronic signature, today announced that DocuSign Ink has been awarded the Consumer Product/Service of the Year from the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA), one of the largest statewide associations of technology companies, IT departments, and individual technology professionals in North America.
"All of us at DocuSign are thrilled to receive this recognition from the WTIA," said Grant Peterson, DocuSign’s chief technology officer. "This award recognizes the hard work, passion, and dedication that DocuSign employees put into DocuSign Ink to create the first-ever personal electronic signature for securely signing everything, everywhere.”
DocuSign Ink eliminates the hassles and costs of printing, faxing, scanning, and overnighting to sign and return documents. With DocuSign Ink, individuals can place text and check boxes to complete forms, ‘drag and drop’ their legally binding signature into documents, and then return securely via email. DocuSign Ink gives users peace of mind that their signature and documents are safe on the DocuSign Global Network so that they can finish personal business faster and get on with the business of life.
Earlier this year DocuSign Ink was selected by Apple® for Apple App Store Rewind 2011, a collection of Apple’s favorite apps of the year, after only one month of availability. The app saw more than 100,000 downloads within the first two weeks of launch and experienced similar popularity with the DocuSign Ink plug in for Microsoft® Outlook® and DocuSign Ink for Google® Android devices.
DocuSign and DocuSign Ink were honored at WTIA's 17th annual Industry Achievement Awards (IAA) gala in Seattle. The event showcased the best of the creative and innovative people, companies, products, and services in the Washington technology industry. DocuSign’s business solutions were awarded the Commercial Product/Service of the Year in the WTIA’s 16thannual Industry Achievement Awards (IAA) in 2011.
“Once again, there was a tremendous depth and breadth of technology innovation represented among the IAA applicants," said Susan Sigl. "Our great state continues to be a place where passionate technologists can leverage the talent and resources here to achieve great success. A warm congratulations goes out to this year’s IAA winners."
