There is international demand for AVL ETS emissions experts as partners for the engine industry. They offer one-stop, high-tech solutions for development, optimization and certification.
The company celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
“The market has changed so rapidly in recent years, and we can proudly look back on successful years in which we demonstrated that we are one of the key players in our industry. Our partners and customers of many years standing include almost all manufacturers in the automotive sector as well as authorities such as the Technical Inspectorate TÜV, and international emissions bodies”, says Uwe Krummenoehler, CEO of AVL ETS GmbH.
One element of the company’s history is the first exhaust emission measurement device which was built in 1972. Today, AVL ETS offers effective and compatible solutions for measuring engine emissions using the iGeneration product range which launched in 2007; this is ranked among the state of the art products on the market, and complies with diverse emissions legislation throughout the world.
AVL ETS incorporates the first class expertise from the former PEUS Systems and Pierburg Instruments, which were merged with AVL in 2002.
AVL also provides solutions for new powertrain concepts such as electric drives, hybrids and those for alternative fuels.
Application fields range from vehicle engines, marine engines and heavy duty machinery through to small, mobile engines.
Engineers and developers throughout the world rely on high tech equipment from AVL, who develop extremely innovative solutions close to the market and in close cooperation with customers.
Uwe Krummenoehler expects continued expansion for the company in 2012. “There has never been greater demand for our emission measurement systems. Companies in the engine industry throughout the world are asking for our expert know-how and solutions. The market needs a strong and extremely innovative partner, especially in the current situation where alternative fuels and new engine technologies are in demand. Today our systems are already geared towards the requirements of tomorrow, thereby offering our customers enormous investment protection,” states Uwe Krummenoehler.
