This year's list of winners includes employers from across Canada that have exceptional workplace diversity and inclusiveness programs. The competition examines a range of diversity initiatives covering five major employee groups: women; members of visible minorities; persons with disabilities; Aboriginal peoples; and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered/transsexual (LGBT) peoples.
“SaskTel is proud to receive this national recognition of our efforts to diversify our workforce,” said Doug Burnett, Vice-President – Human Resources and Corporate Services. “We’re committed to reflecting the market we serve by attracting and retaining talented employees from a wide variety of backgrounds.”
In October 2011 Mediacorp named SaskTel one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the 12th year in a row and, earlier this month, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for the 6th year straight year.
