Automated Systems Design (ASD), Inc. was named a finalist today in the “Customer Service Department of the Year – Telecommunications” category in the sixth annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winner in the program.
ASD is being recognized for its outstanding customer service for an on-going project for Dollar General that requires high-quality technology installation work in half the time of industry norms. Dollar General is opening its 10,000th store, slated to open late February or early March in Merced, California. ASD is working on this project as well. Dwayne Simmons, National Service Consultant for ASD, is the leader of the project’s customer service team. The team is comprised of the following National Deployment Specialists: Carole Huffman, Angela Isenhour and Tyler Kiziah.
“Dollar General is growing at an incredibly fast pace, with plans to open 625 new stores in 2012. ASD has demonstrated that our customer service team is not only able to handle extremely rapid deployment schedules, but they are also able to go above and beyond to maintain the highest quality of work in spite of tight schedule restrictions,” said Bob Eskew, founder an CEO of ASD. “We are extremely proud of the entire ASD team for their hard work and dedication to quality.”
The awards are presented by the Stevie® Awards, which organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious International Business Awards. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the final results will be announced during a gala banquet on Monday, February 27 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Finalists from the U.S.A. and several other nations are expected to attend.
More than 1,000 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year’s competition, an increase of almost 30 percent over 2011. Finalists were determined by the average scores of 93 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges. Entries were considered in 27 categories for customer service professionals, including Contact Center of the Year, Award for Innovation in Customer Service, and Customer Service Department of the Year; 38 categories for sales professionals, ranging from Senior Sales Executive of the Year to Sales Training or Coaching Program of the Year to Sales Department of the Year of the Year; and categories to recognize new products and services and solution providers.
More than 100 members of seven specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the finalists during final judging, to take place January 30 - February 10.
“We’re delighted to kick off our celebration of the 10th year of the Stevie Awards movement with the 2012 Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer, which will be the first program in which we’ll bestow Silver and Bronze Stevie Awards,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “It’s gratifying and inspiring to have received so many remarkable entries for this year’s competition. I know the final judges have a tough task ahead of them to determine the Stevie Award placements.”
