Butare started his executive career with AIG, Hanover Insurance and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He then served as Executive Vice President of Policy Management Systems Corporation (PMSC) and then President of Cybertek Corporation, a subsidiary of PMSC. Subsequently, Butare co-owned and served as Chief Executive Officer of AcroSoft, an insurance content management platform, and CaseRev, an insurance vendor management software provider, before selling both organizations to publicly-traded companies.
