In the course of the event, product and engineering directors as well as lead developers will present the current state and strategy for Cincom Smalltalk. Among the keynote speakers are George Bosworth, a Smalltalk/V Virtual Machine (VM) pioneer developer and VM expert from the United States, Heinz Ulrich Roggenkemper from SAP, who presents a team’s Smalltalk project at SAP Laps, as well as Scott Ambler, IBM Methods Group, Canada, who is going to talk about key factors for successful software development. Selected customers and partners will also provide insight into their Smalltalk applications.
Simultaneously with the user conference, which primarily targets Smalltalk experts, a work-shop “Experience Cincom Smalltalk” will take place, dedicated to developers who haven’t yet worked intensively with Smalltalk. “In this workshop, interested developers can check out to what extent the development platform is particularly suited for highly complex and dynamic software applications“, comments Yvonne Schickel, Marketing Manager at Cincom. “Work-shop participants kill two birds with one stone: They additionally benefit from exchanging with experienced Smalltalkers who attend the conference.
