Moxa has released MXview 2.1, the latest version of its industrial network management software. MXview 2.1 expands support from 1000 to 2000 network nodes and introduces enhanced visualization features to become more informative and easier to use for industrial operators. A new playback panel with advanced playback functions is also introduced in MXview 2.1. MXview 2.1 is a free upgrade for all existing users, and a 20-node unlimited-time trial version is available at the Moxa website.
Moxa’s MXview is a powerful web-based network management tool for industrial networks that can scan an entire network to create a real-time topology map of the network, allowing simple, centralized monitoring and troubleshooting of complex industrial networks that comprise of distributed subnets.

Manages Up to 2000 Nodes

Advanced Topology Map Automatically Displays Network Redundancy
MXview 2.1 automatically creates network topologies that reflect network redundancy. The software combines a network scan with an auto-layout algorithm to generate a real-time topology map which shows the network redundancy status created by Moxa’s self-healing redundancy technologies, Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain. In addition, end devices that are configured in the same subnet as the MXview server will also be displayed on the map, which minimizes the extra time and effort needed to manually create topologies for devices that are not supported by MXview.
Virtual Device Panels
A virtual device panel view in MXview 2.1 allows users in the control center to see a virtual image of a network device’s front panel, complete with port activity and LEDs. This gives network administrators a view of what’s actually happening on the factory floor for real-time management and troubleshooting.
VLAN and IGMP Visualization
The MXview 2.1 user interface organizes different VLAN and IGMP snooping groups by color, so the logical network architecture can be identified at a glance.
Enhanced Event Playback Functions
In MXView 2.1, the Event Playback feature has been redesigned to be easier to use, with a larger picture, more efficient layout, and clearer buttons. Event Playback also supports the following playback functions:
• Select any event within 1 month;
• Jump to any time within 1 month;
• Playback at 1x, 2x and 4x speed;
• Playback on a second-by-second basis.
