Echopass Corporation, the 2011 market share leader in cloud based contact centers, announced today that Brian O'Connell has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Quality Officer. O'Connell is a veteran technology and management executive with deep experience in the Fortune 500 enterprise market. He brings a broad and diverse background to Echopass with over 25 years of management consulting experience at Accenture, as well as strategy and operational management for The Hartford Financial Services Group.

Previous to Echopass, O'Connell was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and a member of the Office of the Chairman for The Hartford. Brian's responsibilities at The Hartford included the development and implementation of a centralized, enterprise-wide information technology strategy in support of the corporation's business goals, while managing thousands of employees focused on key transformational projects and IT support.

Prior to joining The Hartford in 2007, Brian spent 25 years at Accenture where he was both a Managing Director and Partner. During his tenure with Accenture, Brian served as Managing Director of the Life Insurance Industry for North America and Asia and of the Technology Work Group for North America. In these roles, Brian led a number of strategic technology initiatives for large life insurance companies focused on procurement, eCommerce, legacy application consolidation, customer service operations and business transformation. He serves on the board of directors of ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) a standards organization for the Insurance industry, as well as the Boston College Technology Council.
