Hoag Hospital Foundation officials today announced the appointment of three new Foundation Board Members. They are:

• Robert Brunswick, founder, president and CEO of investment management firm Buchanan Street Partners;
• Pei-Yuan Chia, chairman of the Chia Family Foundation, Inc. and a Trustee Emeritus of the Asia Society;
• Stephanie Nichols McClellan, M.D., a specialist in gynecologic surgery and women’s health.

"We are extremely honored to welcome these three highly respected members of the community to the Hoag Hospital Foundation,” said Flynn A. Andrizzi, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and President of Hoag Hospital Foundation. “As an integral partner in Hoag Hospital’s mission to provide world-class medical care, the Foundation benefits tremendously from the expertise and guidance of accomplished and dedicated members such as Robert, Pei-Yuan and Stephanie.”

As the philanthropic arm of Hoag Hospital, Andrizzi said the Foundation helps to advance the mission of Hoag through meaningful and inspirational partnerships. The Foundation’s vision, he said, is to serve as a trusted philanthropic partner and play an integral role in the hospital’s success.

Under the direction of its volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation conducts programs and campaigns that generate more than $35 million per year in gifts and pledges. Funds go toward capital projects, equipment purchases, innovative program development and clinical research.

About the new Board Members
As founder, president and CEO of Buchanan Street Partners (BSP), Brunswick chairs the firm’s Investment and Executive Management Committee. Under his guidance, BSP has prospered even under the recent economic downtown. Brunswick is a well-known community philanthropist: In 2007, he established Buchanan Children’s Charities, a 501©(3) organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and expanding their educational opportunities.

Chia is a nationally known business leader. In 1996, he retired as vice chairman and a director of Citicorp and Citibank, N.A., where he directed global consumer business and served as Citibank’s senior customer and government contact in Asia. Chia’s impressive business credentials also include serving as a director on the boards of American International Group, Baxter International, Inc., Bank of China, Case Corporation, and as a trustee of the NYU Hospital Center Board.

Dr. McClellan is a nationally respected specialist in gynecologic surgery and women’s health who has deep ties to Hoag Hospital. Since 1987 she has been an attending staff member in the hospital’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and served as the department’s vice chairman from 1995 to 1997. Among numerous research papers and books, McClellan’s work has been published by Simon and Schuster, which in May 2011 published her paperback titled “The Ultimate Stress Relief Plan for Women.”
